Default Favorite THR 10 settings.

Just got one of these but haven’t had a chance to plug in. Anybody want to share their favorite settings?

When I had my THR5, I'd run the gain at 12 o'clock to start,
tone at 12 o'clock (you'll have a 3 band eq, so maybe start with all 3 bands at 12 o'clock), I preferred the lead channel, and a blend of reverb and delay. That's a good starting point. If you want a kind of gritty clean, try the crunch with the gain below 10 o'clock. If you like metal, you'll love the modern setting. I liked the ability to tap in the tempo for delay too. Enjoy your amp.

I've had my THR10 for about a month. Best amp purchase I have ever made.
So many tones to be discovered. Once you get into the THR editor you can tweak until your hearts content.
Here's a link to some patches to download. Lots of good ones.

I use the clean setting most of the time with tone towards the middle but I move the gain a lot depending upon single coil or humbucker guitar. Mine's almost always used with tablet, phone or computer plugged in so I use the right side aux and input adjustments more than the master and gain knobs. Finally, just a little bit of spring reverb setting.

More and more it's almost always used with the Trio+, boost pedal and tuner pedal. The Trio+ is just a great item. The boost pedal aids the move between single coil and humbucker. It has cut my changing any amp settings for the guitar.

I don't have just one favorite setting. I use mine for bass, acoustic and electric. I can get great blues settings, crunch and lead sounds that are truly satisfying. I use high quality rechargeable batteries for playing outdoors on my back deck. I have played electric fills and parts at a local winery (battery powered) to accompany friends who are doing acoustic solo acts. These things are highly under-rated.

I have the 10C and really like it for around the house. I’m gassing for the Fender Acoustasonic Tele and I think the THR would be a great companion for that guitar. I still wish Yamaha would come out with something in between the 10 and the 100, or do a THR stompbox.

I’ve stored my favorite clean, blues dirt, AC/DC dirt and two metal settings. I am absolutely digging this amp and I haven’t even tried to play around with the downloadable settings yet.

Thanks for this link. I just bought a partscaster tele, so I bought a THR10C, and I'm going to sell my THR5A. The electric friendly models also have some acoustic settings.

Did you know there's an Android app THR Editor that you can load patches and libraries and do detailed edits? Very cool!
