Default McPherson Camo Sable

I "borrowed" this picture from LA Guitar Sales. It was posted on FB. Thought I would share here....

Wow... kinda cool looking in this light. What I like about Mcpherson guitars is they know who they are. Like them or hate them they have an interesting perspective on the design of guitars.

With that camouflaged guitar, how would you ever find it once you set it down?

I suppose that is what guitar straps for, to hang onto your guitar in these situations.

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the basket weave to this new fangled camo. What they are doing to a nice traditional carbon fibre guitar is blasphemy

I wouldn't call it blasphemy, but it doesn't do anything for me. I like the honeycomb top, but this camo just looks smeary to me. Manufacturers have to try things to see what people like. I thought I read they are discontinuing the basketweave - looking at McPhersons for sale on Reverb, the honeycomb outnumbers it significantly.

It will be interesting to see one in person.

Blasphemy? Nah, neck resets are.

Just like Alistair's association of everything Emerald to their Irish roots, McPherson also seems to take a nod to a heritage all their own. For Emerald it's shamrock inlays, a very Irish sounding mandolin in the Amicus, or Rufus embossed mugs filled with stout.

For Matt at McPherson it is all about a love for hunting having also ventured into creating some of the most renown carbon fiber compound hunting bows. So camo would only make sense in this latest carbon series introduction, and it wasn't the first time the idea was used. Not sure if the Kevin Michael prototype is wrapped or painted but I remember seeing it.

To add to the discussion:

Snakeskin! Yes thank you. I knew it reminded me of something but camo was not the first thing that came to mind.

I like it- my favorite top so far
