Okay, I just sat down with my recorder to do a couple. Here's my instrumental fingerstyle arrangement of Eleanor Rigby, on a Taylor 8-String Baritone.

...and here's "When I'm Sixty Four", again instrumental fingerstyle, but this time on a 12-fret.

I haven't tried to record any Beatle songs recently, but a friend made this recording of me singing Norwegian Wood in my kitchen, in 2004 - it's a better recording than most of my own dubious efforts, I must say.

Default Yesterday...

Here's one my music partner and I did long distance; he's in Phoenix, I'm in south Texas. Yesterday...

I did the vocal, acoustic guitar, percussion; Mark did piano, synth (strings), and bass. A sentimental favorite, I remember dancing to this in junior high. I was pretty sure that John and Paul would call me to be a "Junior Beatle"... still waiting for that call.

One of my favorite Beatles songs.
Here is "I Will" on my banner LG2 that I recorded several years ago for a sound sample of that guitar.

Good thread idea!
Here’s my version of “And I Love Her” that I worked up a while back.

This one was a while back: Eleanor Rigby...

Last summer, with no playing out, I entertained myself with a bunch of "Stayin' at Home" videos...

My friend Bill Gillespie and I did a whole album of our favorite Beatles' covers. Here's a song from that album:

Here's another one of my solo acoustic instrumental arrangements of a Beatles song--"Eight Days A Week." #1 US Billboard for The Beatles in early 1965. First appears on The Fab Four's UK-released album "Beatles For Sale"--was also included on the US LP "Beatles VI." Usually considered a genuine Lennon-McCartney collaborative composition.

I'm playing a 1976 Martin D-35:

So much great stuff here. I've often thought that if I spent all of my remaining time on this planet only learning and playing Beatles songs, it would be time well spent.

Here is kind of an obvious choice, for acoustic guitar. I've never quite gotten comfortable with this one. The high note on "night" is just at the edge of my vocal range, in terms of holding that note with control. The guitar part is also finnicky for me, as I am not a strong fingerstyle player. Anyway, such as it is, here is "Blackbird."

Hi SG,

You hit "night" just right! It sounded really good! Nothing wrong with your finger picking either. Great job on this!
