this 00-12 is really a great instrument. quite amazed with the tone and projection its capable of. TheMusicEmporium is a great shop, they know a lot about the instruments they sell, and i've probably traded into or purchased around 7 from them, and every one of them has exceeded my expectation. if you like the MLO neck shape and performance taper, you will love this guitar i think. keep us posted on what you end up with d |

I have the WL-S and a WL-k, but this slothead 12 fret OG with euro top and honduran mahogany is my favorite guitar, ever!

These have VERY wide nuts. I had one and I couldn't deal with the neck. It's 1 and 7/8ths

Personally I would keep the Waterloo and trade or sell the Eastman for an OM, either Eastman or something else that grabs you in that affordability range. You would have an all rounder that’s more different from your Waterloo and keep the Waterloo for the one trick it does so well.

I’d advise keeping the Waterloo until you have an actual guitar in hand that you prefer. They are more than a one-trick pony though aren’t for everyone. They’re getting harder to find so it might be wise to move slowly.
I was disappointed with the one Iris I’ve been able to get my hands on. They have a lot of love on the forum but just a reminder it’s best to play something for yourself. A Martin might have more bass, depending on the model, but probably less clarity, if that’s an issue. Also neck profile: do you like MLO necks? Most, including the lovely TME customs, have MLO neck profile. Good luck with the hunt! |

Thank you for all the advice!
While I never say never, for now, I am going to stick with what I've got. It's probably because the Eastman is new but the Waterloo is seeing little playing time right now and I am not sure where I am at with it. I think it's probably best to keep it around for the summer and reassess. With that being said I may pick up a Martin 0-15 custom if I can ever get my hands on one which should only serve to further complicate matter, but why not right?

Does this meet your requirements?
https://www.laguitarsales.com/index....18s-73386.html I have one and it is a wonderful instrument, very satisfying tonally and more versatile than one might think. It's showing as "out of stock," but maybe they will be getting another shipment soon?

Beat,
Yup, that would do it! Aside from having Sitka vs. Adirondack and maybe having too shallow of a neck carve (not 100% on that one) it fits the bill exactly. One thing, I have never seen a spec sheet specify a 'Non Catalyzed Gloss Finish'. Is this different then a typical gloss finish from Martin?
