Default Adjusting action on Godin Multiac?

A quick introduction, since I'm new here: I've been playing guitar for about 30 years and went for a Jazz education at a conservatory in The Netherlands. These days I play electric solo gigs with playbacks for a living, but also doing the occasional live band show with funk/soul/rock covers.
I suspected there was a market for some acoustic jazz/brazilian music as well as a duo with another guitarist, that's why I purchased the Godin Nylon Duet Ambiance, Godin's current crossover flagship.
And here's my first question: The setup was terrible, which I expected, coming from Amazon , but nothing I wasn't able to fix.
However, the action was quite high and I'm sure that between some truss rod adjustment and the proper saddle trimming it could be very nice. It sounds fantastic, by the way, courtesy of Fishman's Aura system!
So: What do I need to do to lower the action to make it more playable? Assume a reasonably experienced "setter upper" when replying.

Thanks for your time!

Benji

Lots of information here

I think this shows steel string guitar setup but it will be the same for nylon strings.

Stanron, thx for the link! I'd figured out the sanding part and all, but specifically I'd like to know:
  • Are Godin saddles glued in?
  • Am I disturbing the working of the UST taking it out?
Thanks for you time,

Benji

I've never come across a glued in saddle over a pickup strip, and if it's not glued in there should be no problem in lifting it out.
As a suggestion don't adjust the saddle you have. Buy a saddle blank and make a new one. That way if you go too low you still have the original.
