Two of my favorites to play are Name by the Goo Goo Dolls and the acoustic version slowed down just a bit of Everlong by the Foo Fighters. If I wanted to add to this a third it would be Roxanne by the Police. However it is the version from the Secret Policemans Ball. This version is all finger picked.

I don't have a very large repertoire so far, but the dumbed-down version of "Freight Train" that my instructor did an arrangement of is my favorite so far.

Excuse me for asking, but do you have any particular tab or anything of that? I would like to check it out.

Cue,
No I don't. I don't read music or tab. I taught myself by ear without any music. Just on memory. But it is in the key of E the way I play it. And chock full of blues. |

"Late Morning Blues" by Woody Mann is great (based on Blind Blake's "Early Morning Blues"). Fun to play.
I don't play a lot of real songs, but I also enjoy "Buckdancer's Choice". The version Mike Seeger teaches - based on Sam McGee's version - has several parts and is a lot of fun. The beginning part is really nice to play. "At a Georgia Camp Meeting" is also one of my other favorites. Such a great tune. |
