Default The best sounding chord to you

I know that this is probably a silly thread, but I really love playing a D/F# chord in a song. To me, it's the best sounding chord on the guitar. If you had to pick one chord that in your opinion sounds the best, what would it be?

Cannot swing without a nice Major 6th chord.

Me too. I do like to throw in the F# when appropriate. Has a pure church organ, Bach quality to it.

another fav with the capo is

I like using tension chords leading to other chords, for example
202330 to 024440

I LOVE the four finger open G major. It is always the first thing I play when I pick up a guitar.

I love a nice G6, and a c shape d or e7, but yes, it is always that 320033 that I play first, and also the notes that I tune up to.

Yeah. If it makes any sense, I think of the key of G with open chords to be the open D of standard tuning.

Nope -- that doesn't really make much sense.

I really like F#7th add 11. ( I think it would be the proper way to write it), resolving to an F#. It would be ( from low E to high E) F# 2nd fret...C# 4th fret...F# 4th fret....A#...3rd fret.... open B (11th) open E (7th), resolving to a F# barre chord. I believe it would be written this way as it would be a F#dom7th if the B (11th) were not added. Theory geeks correct me if thats not right.

My hand automatically goes to an open 'G' whenever I pick up the guitar - just the three fingered variety.

I think a slow strum of this chord sums up the sound of an acoustic guitar perfectly.
