My take learning by ear Willie Nelson's Blue Eyes Cryin...
Hi all! A friend showed me some Willie Nelson's tunes, this one caught my attention. I was never into his music, having only heard about him (here in Brazil) through the internet.
I searched around and loved the story about his guitar, Trigger. Anyway, I listened to "Blue Eyes Cryin' in the Rain" and it sounded very familiar to me, as something I could play on the guitar by ear. So I set myself a challenge, I wouldn't listen to the song anymore, record it, post it here and see your opinions / reviews. I do know there must be a lot of work to be done, but I thought it would be a nice "project". I got a little mixed up in the beginning, especially cause I think the bass lines remind me of Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison (???). Please, comment! https://youtu.be/q6U2Zu29QzE https://youtu.be/q6U2Zu29QzE |

Ok, had a chance to listen to the original and some covers. I'm sort of glad I got the right key and some of the bass lines, though the solo is way off
Gotta work a little harder, if I manage to improve it within the next few days I'll post something again. |

Hey rodmbds,
Not a bad thing to try. You did alright. It’s a useful skill to develop. You’re on it. Keep working on it! Mark
