Wild Horses - The Rolling Stones
I love this song. This is my approach to it. I recorded as follows:
1 track for the acoustic, just one. All the way. 1 track for the voice 1 track for the second voice I have used Acoustica Mixcraft and Audacity as DAW's. One complement the other. As "mic" and recorder I have used Zoom 1 and the pc headphone. Added some reverb, some compressor . My guitar is an Epiphone DR100. The guitar is one step down Open G, I mean in Open F, should I say ? It fits my pitch. I hope you like it. https://soundcloud.com/delaorden/wild-horses |

Excellent!
Awesome sound in your recording. I especially liked your use of the little "lead" parts throughout the song. They were well placed and not overdone. Harmonies were nicely done as well. Makes me want to break this one out and relearn it.

Hi @Rhancox very kind of you, appreciate. Important to note that the "lead" parts were played during the rhythm part, I mean it is played in one take all together, not another track for the lead, do you understand ? I'm glad because you can hardly notice the gap between the strumming part and the little "lead" parts. This is kind of what you can do with opening tunes, specifically in Open G. Keith Richards knew how to explore this technique with his Tele.

Oh yeah, I knew that was what you were doing. With some of the breaks between lyrics, those little runs really make the song.
For all the jokes about Keith Richards being stoned out of his mind all the time, he is quite the creative musician.

Nice job on this one...love the harmonies and the fact that vocals are sitting better in the mix than on some of your other recording. Some tasty playing on this too.....thanks for sharing.

Really nice job on this, some fine guitar playing in there and I can hear your vocals are more up front on this one....
I think this is your best one yet |

You did a nice job with this. I liked your vocal harmonies and the guitar playing was great. You got a nice sound out of your Epiphone.
I think maybe the vocals could a little bit louder so they stand out from the guitar some more, but all in all I really liked this.
