Here are a couple of photos I took this morning outside to celebrate this glorious autumn day and my new Adamas I 2087GT-8 Reverse Blue Burst that fits in so well with the day's wonderful colors.

The Adamas is very balanced with no woofy notes or extra-loud or -soft notes anywhere on the fingerboard. The tone is clear and a little crystalline but not as crystalline-like as IMHO the King Of Crystalliness a RainSong WS1000 Classic Series guitar. The Adamas I 2087-8 has a pleasing sound but its tone would never be confused with the thunderousness of a Martin HD-28 or an Adamas 2080 NWT. The Adamas I 2087GT-8 from a recordist's or live performer's needs would be a dream due to its even tonal volume across and up-and-down the fingerboard. The Adamas tops are a laminate with two outer .005-inch thick layers of carbon fiber with a thin wooden center ply. The overall soundboard is .035-inch thick.

Playability is typically Ovation in that it almost feels like an electric guitar. Some more aggressive players may want to adjust the truss rod to impart a bit more neck-relief than Ovation generally ships with its guitars.

WOW! Two very beautiful guitars. We have an older Adamas in the village and it is recognized as being a masterpiece--it plays easily, it sounds sweet, and it projects well. Good on You.

Do you know if any of the production cf guitars have the double top?

Evan, to my knowledge, no Adamas or Ovation guitars have or have ever had double-tops.
