Default Martin D-35 question

I have the JC D35 and love everything about it, I’ve gotten used to the 1 11/16 neck, the forward X, Engelmann top with rosewood sides... etc etc...

But I hate gigging with it... does anyone know of a D-35 with the same specs? Doesn’t appear to be new ones, but wonder if there can be old models I could by used.

I looked at the custom option but the price defeats the purpose of a gigging option to the JC D35.

I wondered the same thing. So I put together a Custom D 35... but without the black, got Adirondack instead of Englemann, and no JC jr signature. I added a little more bling, some Wild EIR, bone pins, scalloped the tone bars a bit more and ended up with exactly what I wanted oh and with an Anthem in it as well.... and paid way less than I would have getting the JC D 35.

Wha specifically do you hate about it? I love my '72 D35 and can manipulate the sound for any given task with strings and bridge pins.

Oh right, I hate gigging with it because, afterwards I hate leaving it in the truck, I play beach gigs where elements can effect it, I’d rather play safer outings with it, but sometimes I just want to hang, and I have to babysit the JCD35 a little more etc etc ....
