the guitar disappears

For some reason two of my guitars went into storage perhaps due to being strung with Martin Retro Monel light strings which I have a hard time warming up to being new. But my OM only lasted one day before I brought it home again, and as usual, the first few strings plucked sounded fresh and awe inspiring so I stayed with the feeling and played some simple arpeggios very quietly and low and behold the music was there and all considerations of guitar and gear vanished. Awe, the liberation of music!
