Default Taylor 512E

I'm considering the purchase of a Taylor 512E. I've located a 2013 model with standard ll bracing and ES1 electronics. A 2016 512E uses standard lll bracing and ES3 electronics. Is there much difference between the bracing and electronics of these guitars?

The 2016 Taylor 512e has the new ES2 pickup/preamp system, which is much more natural-sounding than any versions of the magnetic-based ES1: ES1/ES1.2/ES1.3. I would buy the 2016 Taylor 612e.

Is there a 2013 512e? Do you mean 522e? If so, it would be all mahogany and the 2016 model is cedar over mahogany. The 2016 Taylor 512e has the new ES2 pickup/preamp system, which is much more natural-sounding than any versions of the magnetic-based ES1: ES1/ES1.2/ES1.3. I would buy the 2016 Taylor 512e.

Yes. Mine is a 2013 cedar/hog (with a cutaway).
