Default Amplifying an E10-OM Ltd.

I just recently picked up an Eastman E10-OM Ltd. and I'm pretty certain I'll be putting an LR Baggs lyric into it. I use a Fishman Loudbox Artist amp and was wondering if I'll need something like a para di to get the best sound from it or if the amp's eq would be enough. I play fingerstyle and really love the natural tone of this guitar and want to amplify it as naturally as possible. Thanks.

Don´t do it. First reason: You don´t get a good tone from this source alone. Second: You get a better quality internal mic for less money used --> DPA4061.

For a PU system with most natural tone I suggest you take an SBT and DPA4061 and combine them with an internal or external preamp.

I put a LR Baggs I Beam Active in my Larrivee OM-03. I use it with a Loudbox Mini and I am getting very natural sound. You don't need an extra preamp, but nothing is stopping you from adding one later. The Anthem should give you great sound and you can mix in the internal mic. Go for it!

For fingerstyle—that is, little to no strumming—the Lyric should be pretty good. You might want to stick a more robust EQ on there than the Fishman has, though. The Empress ParaEQs on Ebay are just a little more expensive than the PADI and much more powerful (as EQs).

The deficiencies of the Lyric really come out when you're strumming or playing with other instruments in an ensemble. If you're solo and fingerstyle, you'll probably be happy.
