Anyone played with the AKG C411?
I find myself tempted for one of these neat little contact mics, I'm just wondering if anyone has first hand experience of how they sound, whether they cause feedback issues etc?

I'm surprised at the lack of responses here - it's unlike the AGF to be lost for words
In the absence of anyone here telling me it's a terrible idea, I've ordered one & it should be here tomorrow. I will report back on my results....

So it arrived yesterday. First impression is that it's smaller than I was expecting. It sounds a bit more lifelike than a UST but doesn't quite capture the essence of the guitar.
I installed it behind the bridge on my Gibson L50 (which is a dry, punchy sounding archtop) like so: Here's a couple of audio clips: This is totally dry straight into my PC This is the same clip with a tasteful amount of reverb & compression added

Offhand, I'd say it sounds a lot better than the typical UST. Don't use them much, but my experience with contact mics are that placement, even small changes, makes a huge sound difference.
