Default Guitano Guitar support...not!

Hi Guys
I brought a Guitano Support a couple of months ago as i was feeling the strain with the foot rest. I ordered it from a London Classical Guitar shop.
The Guitano support was appearently a 'top make' and very reliable, thats what i read after some research anyway.
This thing was expensive at £40 and they even charged me £10 extra for the clear 'adhesive' paper so it sticks extra well and doesnt damage the finish on my Guitar.
On getting the items i put the adhesive paper on as instructed with no air bubbles. I then put the Guitano on, it lasted an hour then fell off.
This thing has 3 suckers for extra suction and support.....what a joke.
I've lost count of this thing falling off, every time i go to pick up my Guitar its on the floor, i'm sick of this now and considering going back to my foot stool.
Also, i dont get much time to practice and fiddling about with this every time is eating into my practice sessions
Three sucker Guitano, I'm the sucker for for buying it!
Any ideas Guys?

Not sure about that brand. I am very happy with De Oro however, more so than I was with NeckUp.

My experience with guitar supports that use suction cups is similar to yours. I put a small amount of soapy water inside the cups which creates a better vacuum seal. You will have fewer issues with the support falling off the guitar by doing this.

I have the A-Frame and the Mundo -- wasted money. I don't like the suction cups that only sometimes suck. I'm nervous about them falling off whenever I use them. I would never use soapy water on them. That'll ruin the guitar finish. I'm going to trash these things and buy a Sageworks magnetic support.

You say, "every time i go to pick up my Guitar its on the floor."

Does the device also become detached when you are holding and playing the guitar?

My understanding is that the support is supposed to be affixed to the guitar only when you're playing it and removed when you are not. The pressure exerted by holding the guitar on your leg helps secure the suction cups. At least, that's what I've always assumed.

I have a 2 suction cup one that I got on Amazon. I use it all the time on my Cordoba C10 and it works great (doesn't harm the finish).

I've used a Dynarette cushion for years. Works fine. Here's a comparison of different guitar supports:

I've been using a De Oro support for several years now... It's never once slipped. Except for one guitar with a Nitro finish, I leave the support on the guitar 24/7... No marks or issues with the finish

Same experience for me. Only just taken mine off to put the guitar in the case, otherwise it's on all the time.

I’ve been using the De Oro and it has stayed on really well. No marks so far in 3 months but not on a fancy guitar. My only issue is that it does slip around a little on my leg.
