The low art of twitting oneself.
Regrettably a lifelong struggle.
I was never happy with a Breedlove GA body crossover, the N200: too dry, lifeless, the matte varnish slippery, difficult to secure as I played. I switched out four different saddle materials, tried maybe three string types, just one big 'no go' after another, and that slick surface rankled. Last night I took a shot with Savarez 500 CRJ Corum New Cristal Mixed, 'cause what the heck, they were at hand. Finally. Clear, light, and powerful is the result. And here's the twit part. Now that it's a satisfying guitar, the finish isn't nearly as slippery. |

Oh that is too funny!
You should be ashamed of yourself for trying so hard. I think you should have just gone and bought a Cordoba (fill in the blank). I feel your pain...I continue to delude myself that the best guitar is the one I am holding in my hands right now. And it would be if I was holding something other than this blasted tablet. Ha! That guitar is just waitng for your songs to make it whole. Thanks for the post! D |
