Default Help adding Monitor

Hi, I am kinda new at this and hope for a little guidance.
Solo vocals and guitar. I run my guitar and mic to my pedal board and then out to a 6 channel mixer and then to a Bose L1C.
I also have a little Roland AC33 and thought about using it as a monitor? I dont know how to wire it in to the mix. Or just forget about using a monitor.? Any help appreciated.

Does your board have a monitor send? or an Aux Out? That'd be just the thing.

BTW: If I'm using a mixer, I just plugin a decent set of ear buds from the phones out on the board, I take a extension headphone cable, if needed I'm good.

RCF LPAD , it seems to have 1 Aux Send. I will try that.

Yes most use the aux send. That way you can
have both mic and guitar in the monitor.
You plug your amp into the aux send jack on
the board then use the knob on each ch that
says aux or send to adjust the amt of volume
in the monitor for each ch. vocal and guitar.

All good advice but I'm a fan of positioning the Bose so it can also function as your monitor. As a solo carry as little as possible! Good luck with your journey.

In all my years of performing, I have NEVER liked monitors... mostly because they just don't sound anything like what the audience is hearing!

I have a Bose L1 Model II for my main PA... and one of the coolest things about it is that I don't need monitors! I just position the unit diagonally off my left shoulder (I'm a right-handed player) and 8-12' away from me... and I hear exactly what my audience is hearing!

If you follow Bose's suggestions on how to place your L1C, you will be pleasantly surprised, I'm sure. The Bose PA rigs deliver the sound to an audience like nothing else I've ever heard or played through...

To me, adding the Roland would not improve the sound quality, but, instead, degrade it. The Roland is nothing close to the fidelity of the Bose. Plus, one more thing to carry, one more cord to fail, one more AC plug, one more thing to try to balance with the main system...
