Thanks Mike. Much appreciated.
I promised one of my sons and his family to take them to DC for a little vacation and the plans are set, rooms rented, tickets purchased, etc. I tried to reschedule but it did not work out.

I meant to say "with you not at Woodstock" this year. DC is great! I visited there last year with my younger daughter, it was a terrific trip. So many wonderful museums and sights to see. Hoping to get back there soon with my wife and both kids. Enjoy!!

Well thank you very much. You have an excellent imagination if you can see the finish line through this accumulation of debris?

Michael Bashkin just released his new podcast interviewing John. Thought maybe someone might want to hear what he’s got to say.

Luthier on Luthier: John Kinnaird

Sorry your name was misspelled on the webpage. Curse of the two i Kinnairds.

Smile Thanks Ryan!!!

I was stoked to hear this podcast with Mike B and John K. I ordered the two guitars with the elevated FBs and CFstruts. Also no truss rod and extra CF in the neck. And my next will have the same. I was stoked to hear John say he wants to go there in the future!

Sorry they didn't talk about the BOSS Bevels and comfort factors like the asymmetrical necks, blah blah...etc.

Yay

Paul

I should have given you credit for encouraging the CF strut build. Few people would have taken that chance with a first time prototype.

If you listened to the whole thing without dozing off I will be impressed with your powers of concentration.
Seriously Michael did such a good job with his part of the interview it was hard to go wrong.

Smile John's easygoing manner...

"Podcast was very cool to listen to! John's easygoing manner and thoughtful answers were a pleasure to listen to."

I agree, Mike! He is always fun to talk with on the phone, and I am sure is a FUN guy in person. And very thoughtful, indeed.

And, Rob C ordered his Braz RP with all the same features (no truss rod, CF struts, elevated FB, big bevels, cut, and soundport)
as the Brown Bomb, so that makes THREE already.

As for the CF struts and elevated FB, we knew Tim McKnight's similar instruments were spectacular! Thanks Tim McKnight!!!

John, you have said before you really want to build one with the Larsen features of the adjustable neck and the single CF rod neckblock to heel block let's figure out how to do it on my upcoming build. Why not go all in?

Sorry to hijack this awesome build thread, but I got excited by the very cool podcast!

Back to your regularly scheduled program

Paul
