1962 Gibson J-45 - SOLD
I bought this guitar on here earlier this year. The previous owner said that he had purchased it from the original owner's family.
It appears to be all original from what I can see, and it has nice play-wear throughout. It is a sweet looking faded cherry sunburst. One thing to note on the condition is that the bridge is lifting. I received it this way. It looks to have been this way for a long time. I brought it to a luthier and he said that he could repair it, but it wasn't at risk of coming completely off because of the saddle bolts holding down the bridge, so it wasn’t immediately necessary. It plays well, so I left it as is. The frets show some wear in the cowboy chord area, and there is wear on the back of the neck. This is one of those guitars that envelops you with sound. It has that dry vintage Gibson tone that you would expect, and a rumbling bottom end that hits you in the chest. Measurements: - Nut width: 1 21/32" - Action at 12th fret low E: 7/64" - Action at 12th fret high e: 5/64" SOLD If you have any questions, let me know. Does this one have the really narrow nut, or is it early enough 60s to still sport the 1 11/16"?

I added a pic of the nut width. It's pre-1965 so it has the wider nut. This one is 1 21/32" wide.
