Another Ovation enthusiast here. In fact, I have a 1995 Legend 1867 on its way via GC Used Online as I write.

I too, have a little history with the brand.
There was another guy who dug 'em back in the day, can't think of his name... Glen, maybe... |

Very cool Sal, I love old Ovations, I had 3 or 4 over the years, I still think about getting an older model.
An aside, where and when did the Iris enter the picture? Did I miss a NGD? Looks pretty sweet...

My son is dropping it off to Russo to glue the bridge.
It will be a blast to play it in a gig. And Ben… you’re an old Rhinestone Cowboy.

Cool story, Sal.
For you Ovation fans, the New Hartford factory has been restored as a restaurant (they call it a tavern) that has a bar, dining room and a separate listening room where bands play (you can eat in there as well). The food is good and not expensive, and there are signed guitars and other memorabilia on the walls. I enjoyed visiting.

With the price of used guitars these days, doing a simple repair on the bridge is a good call. It probably got dried out sitting in the closet all those years.

+1, I had a 1988 Martin HD-28P do the same thing as it sat for about three years in my Mother's closet while I was overseas. Guitars need to be played and to get some regular attention.
