Default new Takamine GC3CE strap or no strap

I got myself a new Takamine for Xmas. Id like to be able to play some Spanish guitar. I cant play with a guitar on my right thigh, I have straps on all my guitars. Id hate to drill a strap button on this shiny new guitar so I was looking at guitar supports. I don't know how well it would work with rapid strumming.
Any suggestions or insights would be welcomed.

I use guitar supports exclusively when sitting down. It positions the guitar just right. The brand I keep in the bag is an older Gitano that has 2 suction cups as opposed to the 3 on this model. Mine stays secure. The similar designed Oasis, sold there, is like my Gitano.
