Classical guitar Method for self-taught learning

I’m according to you.
classical guitar del camp is a good web site but oriented to classical music .
This is good to learn basic technique and music reading ,not for modem musica.
Modern music like jazz, or other not always are well beared, not hurt their forum members
Actually I believe that lessons are available only on line by payments and any subscriber must be posted on line video of some lesson

A friend give me a simple book fur basic learning Bossa, but first I have to reprise basic of playing classical guitar with fingerpicking

In Italy are much used books of classical music ( Sagreras; Carulli; Giuliani ;etc )and method of Italian teacher like Mauro Storti, Chiesa, Roberto Fabbri that I don’t think are known out of Italy but have the great advantage that are written in Italian language and for me are 👍

Brazil has an interesting musical culture which uses classical guitars and sits a bit between classical music and jazz. I'm supposing there must be books/methods for learning it (but they might only be available in Brazilian Portuguese?). I'd probably be interested too if any exist that have been translated.

It's actually 5 days so they were lenient... Having to make an introductory post isn't the worst thing, rules are rules (and all that) and I don't think it's the forum that has the reputation of being easiest to get kicked off from either. But in hindsight it probably does say something about an admin who names "his" forum after himself (the events leading up to my kick-off certainly don't contradict that) so I would have to agree with you. "Weird" is a very politically-correct way of putting it even.

Agree 100%. The amount of intelligent, structured learning materials and videos you get from Bradford’s method and website - at an absurdly no/low cost - always amazes me.

Plus one on the Aaron Shearer books. You might also check out "Pumping Nylon" by Scott Tenant, not a method book, but lots of good exercises to improve technique. I think there's a video version, too, at least there was at one time.

Ok I download vol 1 fro Thisisclassical guitar and order The Sheare method vol1
With these I’ll start , in future I’ll decide depends on my progress

Frederick Noad solo guitar taught me classical as well as standard notation. Great resource with great pieces to learn right from the start.

I recommend this series of videos: 'How to play the guitar'. This is a good one to start with, then just dip into them. The approach is based on reducing tension, which is good for the body and for playing musically.

Noad's 'Solo Guitar Playing' is a good book to develop reading music, mentioned in one of the videos.
