This is a beautiful and rare Taylor limited edition. It's not often you will run into a Grand Auditorium body with a 12 fret short scale neck. The body and neck combination make this guitar an extraordinary fingerstyle guitar with excellent versatility for flatpicking.

The combination of the Western cedar top and the Hawaiian koa back and sides makes this guitar quite responsive with a very balanced tonal signature. Compared to other Taylor guitars with cedar tops, I believe this guitar has more low end presence and more crystalline high end due to the koa back and sides. The guitar as shown in the pictures is currently setup with gold Power Pins at the bridge. My ears tell me the Power Pins improved the sustain of this guitar and they certainly make string changes a lot easier but I have the original ebony bridges pins and can swap them out if desired. Always kept indoors and never has been outside my home, it is in excellent condition. I did two upgrades to it. I replaced the stock Taylor tuners with Gotoh 510's and I replaced the stock faux plastic tortoise pickguard with a solid rosewood pickguard like the 800 series. This not only improves the aesthetics visually but really makes this a more unique limited edition. I wish I could keep it but I have commissioned a custom build so I need to thin my collection a bit to help fund the new build.

This guitar also comes with the Taylor ES2 pickup and pre-amp. It works perfectly. The price includes the Taylor hard shell case.

Guitar and case are in excellent condition with no scratches or dings anywhere.

Taylor 12 Fret Grand Auditoriums are the perfect balance of boomy bass tone with extremely easy playability. I love mine. Factor in cedar top and koa b/s and this particular guitar and your have yourself a perfect guitar. The price is fantastic as well. Somebody is going to be really happy with this. GLWS.
