Default Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500MNS solid spruce and mahogany slopes shoulder dread $425

Like new Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500MNS acoustic guitar. Advanced Jumbo - sloped shoulder dreadnought.

Guitar has solid Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and side, all in a very nice satin finish. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Bone nut and saddle. Fresh strings.

I recently purchased this “new” from a local antique/music shop. It has a “Used” stamp on the back of the headstock, which according to my research could indicate that it was simply returned to the factory by a buyer, was stamped so it could be resold by a non-Epiphone dealer, or was factory refurbished. I don’t know which, if any, is the case with this one, but I’ve looked the guitar over closely with my non-luthier eyes and can’t find anything wrong with it or anything that suggests it was repaired. It literally looks new with the exception of the typical very light pick guard surface scratches from playing with a pick.

I’m thinning my guitar collection, so offering this one up for sale. This is a high quality, well made guitar that sounds as good as it looks. Get the Gibson mojo for less than a quarter of the cost.

Does not include case.

Please feel free to ask any questions or request additional pics.

SOLD plus shipping.

The "used" stamp indicates it had some flaw at the factory, was sold to a refurbisher (likely MIRC), and "refurbished." Sometimes the flaw is hard to find or it was completely fixed and now flawless, as appears to be your case.

Nice looking AJ. Good luck with the sale!

Had one of these and sold it as I "upgraded" to others. These are FANTASTIC guitars that punch WAY above their weight price-wise.

Absolutely true! I had an AJS500R 12 fret slotted headstock guitar that was fantastic. Tremendous value for not much money.

Yeah, I had four Epi Masterbilts - three EF500s (maple, rosewood, and mahogany) and the 12-fret slothead AJ500RC (rosewood cedar). Loved 'em. They eventually funded some of my current collection....

This one was bought by a grandfather for his grandson. I think it’s in good hands!

Esquire,
Good for you!
Boy, I go away for a few days and miss out; I've been wanting to have one of these for a while!
