Default Yamaha FG5 with 3 pickup holes

I have a chance to pick up a well priced FG3. The owner has installed 2 pickups in the tail block and one other in a now blank hole thru the side. I am thinking stay away, but wondering what the risk is for damage...

IMO.. other than visual, there should be no harm structural, if properly installed referencing the two in the tail block. With no location given for the third install, again if backed properly on installation, probably no harm. Not for me, but if it plays well, and is to your liking, why not give it new life with your personal set-up preferences..

I took the 3 small knob holes in my yam hybrid , when I changed the pickup, and made a soundport. I used a large electronics flexible bushing as the port frame.
