Default Avian Guitars? Any Contact Information?

I recently bought a used Avian Songbird spruce over rosewood that was a custom build apparently - not a fanfret model - that was a great deal and has a beautiful sound both plugged in and acoustic.

Trouble is - I can't find any updated information on the company to contact them about the original build/specs and even if they are still in business.

Does anyone know if they were purchased or if Michael Bashkin is still involved?

PM me thx

I did a quick internet search and found no company website, though there were dozens of entries. The guitars are out there - but is the company? Maybe the best thing to do is to contact Michael Bashkin or Harry Fleischman directly.

I'd be curious to hear what you find out.

It's seems Avian quietly and completely disappeared several years ago and after a lull...
A business claiming to be Avian popped up on the web offering a limited lineup (No Ibis models for instance) with suspiciously obscure information regarding what, if any, relationship it had to the original company.

It smelled to me like a shady company selling knock-off look-alikes under the Avian banner.
If I'm wrong, I apologize, but I haven't seen anything since then to change my opinion.

I wish the original reputable sellers would come clean with an explanation or clarification but sadly so far...just silence.

Hi all…
Search for Harry Fleishman on google. He's also regularly active on FaceBook.

The original Avian guitars were one of his designs (the larger design), and one of Michael Bashkin's (the OM sized instruments).

I saw a post of his the other day on FaceBook where he was building one of the larger models. If you pursue him there, I'd message him, unless you want to wade through a lot of political commentary.
