June 7: Decision help

I’ve really enjoyed what our soundports have added to the overall sound of especially our smaller guitars. So I’m going to include one on this Koa 00. Should I go with the tried and true standard hole:




Or should I try something a little different with two intersecting Koa rings breaking up the look? Sorry for the simple sketch, but you can probably visualize what I’m going for.

I vote for the standard hole, but lined/bound with whatever you decided on the bindings so the cross section is a lighter line then dark (binding material) then light again.
