Default Hiss/buzz/hum copper foil reduction plan

My band is normally completely acoustic except for an electric bass. But last night our lead guitar player used my Ibanez Talman Prestige single coil strat-like guitar and mic'd the amp. Unfortunately, the venue's fluorescent lights really made the system hiss/buzz like crazy.

So this Friday my plan is to line the guitar's cavities and pickguard-back with copper foil tape.

I've watched a half dozen YouTube vids, but if anyone knows of a write-up or a definitive source of info on how to proceed, I'd love a pointer.

Thank you!

Can you plug the amp in on a different circuit?

I wish that were it. I could probably buy a conditioner. I very much doubt if it's a poor electricity thing.

I’ve played venues in the (distant) past where a neon sign caused all kinds of issues on a circuit. Was just wondering if it could be the same thing.

Here's some possibly useful info from the TalkBass forum:
"So your bass has a hum"

Well... no go. The copper Faraday cage around my single coil pickups was three hours of wasted effort. Still hums. Time for new pickups. My efforts don't hurt the sound or cause any wonkiness, and it may have made it so that touching the strings or bridge doesn't suddenly alter the sound (a very disturbing original behaviour), but the hum is still there.
