Default 65 Deluxe Reverb RI amp

What do you think of the 65' Deluxe Reverb reissue amp as a pedal platform?

Very good, just be aware that the bright cap on the Vibrato channel may make some fuzz and other pedals a little bit harsh.

I love mine! It takes pedals beautifully!

A very simple mod to remove that cap. I've compared the two channels in my TMDR (not the same amp...I know) and decided to leave the bright cap in (the alternate firmware removes it).

I have one and it’s my favorite electric guitar amp of all time.

It's a great, classic amp.

That's a pretty big amp isn't it? Will it fit in your car?

Why not get an original '65 DR, instead? Lots of them out there.

I agree with getting a vintage one if you can swing it. I have a ‘67 BFDR and it’s an amazing amp. Just tried it with a Celestion Alnico Cream and was blown away.
It keeps the BF Deluxe vibe when set clean but give it more of a tweed sound when cranked.

I don’t have a lot of experience with the reissues. My friend was shopping for one and we both greatly preferred the ‘68 reissue over the ‘65. I recommend checking them both out.

If you haven't bought an amp yet, you might also try a Princeton. A little warmer. Being mostly a Tele player, it's better for me.
