Default Guitarists that have a simple style but you admire for their beautiful simplicity?

I'd be interested to hear your recommendations for guitar players that don't do anything to flashy but their style catches your ear for either it's basic but strong fundamental technique or just for it's beautiful simplicity?

Provide link(s) to one or more of your picks. You are likely to get responses all over the map about what people reply as meeting those provisios.

Lots of names I would have said are already mentioned. I think bluegrass-wise kenny smith is awesome. I really prefer less "flashy" stuff.

I've made a little yt playlist of his stuff.

Though I have mentioned this guy on previous occasions, his music immediately came to mind in response to this thread's subject line:

Lex Von Sumayo

I would consider his arranging and playing simply beautiful. He captures the feel of the tune while keeping it simple. Here is a recent example:

Two come to my mind very quickly. Of course John Prine, with his perfectly simple (and perfectly executed) guitar accompaniment...

...and another favorite of mine, Chris Smither (I can't understand why he isn't more widely recognized).

Either a J-45 or a D-18.
Yet without a guitarist, they remain silent.

Whoever plays guitar for Eve Cassidy on "Autumn Leaves." Nothing showy about those arrangements, but hey complement the song wonderfully well
