Default New original- first take on maple parlor

Here is a short original piece I recorded with my new Maple parlor built by luthier Fred tellier. Love to play this guitar, so light, comfortable and responsive.

The recorded sound has not been edited with reverb, delay or EQ as I wanted Fred to get a « as close to reality as possible » sound sample of the guitar.

Thank you for your comments.

It's very well recorded, the song seems to be a technical feat, it's high level. Bravo and thank you for this discovery

First the piece and the playing were both extraordinary, and that guitar sounds great. A parlor to boot! Anyone still concerned as to how good a maple guitar can sound?

I recently spent time with Tony McManus and he could not find enough good words to say about Fred. He loves his guitars! Congrats on yours.

Love it!! Nothing like a smaller bodied Maple guitar for recording and a very moving composition as well.

Captivating piece! Loved it. And the parlor sounds great. Was it me, or is the recording a little right-side heavy in the mix?

I love this little gem of a guitar. It is small but the sound is not thin or in any other way lacking in quality.

Thank you for all your kind words.

It may have been, I panned a little more on the right, but used the monitor speakers and not the Headphones to mix.

Sounds great, reminiscent of some early Ed gerhard but with a lot of interesting twists and turns. I will certainly give it a few more listens. Also love the city you’re from. If I’m not mistaken we passed thru on the way from Montreal to Quebec City. 3 rivers? Or is it two?

That sounds amazing, so is your playing. So crisp, clear, deep, full. That's an all maple parlor? I want it.

First of all thank you to everyone that took time to comment. Kenny B ; It’s 3 😉. Unfortunatly, the highway slashes the city in it’s ugliest part. Call me next time you’re in the area we’ll share a drink somewhere nice.

Dru Edwards ; Englemann on maple. Second guitar Fred built me with this wood combo. They both sound as you best described: crisp, clear and full.
