in London. And they did it with manually slowing down the tape wheel with Claptons
recording on the tape machine ...... that´s called HiTech in 1968 - but the result is amazing !!

"Hey Jude" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as a non-album single in August 1968. It was written by Paul McCartney and credited to the Lennon–McCartney partnership. The song begins with McCartney singing lead vocals and playing the piano. The patterns he plays are based on three chords: F, C and B♭ (I, V and IV). The main chord progression is "flipped on its head", in Hertsgaard's words, for the coda, since the C chord is replaced by E♭.

I did the arrangement and sight-read the music sheet from a computer monitor.

One day I may figure out how to post pics and music on here.

Like most people, the first album I ever recorded was an all covers album.

Just to see if we could do it. And make it sound right.

All the songs came from our live performance shows.

The "Beatles" track we did was Here Comes The Sun.

I learned the guitar to that song back in about 1975.

It was probably 2000 or so before I ever got band members who would to agree to do it.

Came out really good. Became a highlight of our set.

Others we covered over the years were, Another Girl, Nowhere Man, Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, The End, Get Back, Blackbird, Mother Nature's Son.

I bet there were more. But that was too many brain cells ago.
