Default My Boy

My son just got his drivers license and inherited my old Jeep which
reminded me of this Neil Young song “Why you growing up so fast, my boy?
I thought we had just begun”

I liked that a lot, Gil. Nice job. Not familiar with the song, but I sure identify with the sentiment.
Your rendition has a definite Neil Young vibe to it. Did he do it originally?

Thanks for posting. Let’s hear more.

Thanks Roger, Yes it is a Neil Young song circa 1985 from his country album Old Ways. He plays it on a "Guitjo"

Thanks Glenn, I've been a long time Forum member but don't log in often anymore. Life has been keeping me real busy these days. Playing guitar and recording became a low priority. Lost my recording studio space in my divorce.

Hey Gil,

That was great. You completely channel Neil’s voice, guitar style/sound, and emotion. Plus, props to anyone who can play harp and guitar at the same time.

Hope the return to guitar provides an outlet and solace in the wake of the divorce.

Take care,

Dave

Time flys. I have a 16 year old too. Loved the song too.
