Default Merrill Woodbridge - Carl Miner

While I'm still working on another one of his tunes, I learned this one without really thinking about how hard the fast run is in the second half. Oh well, another WIP and another part of a tune to master!

This is my first attempt at wrapping the left thumb -- and even though it's a pretty simple D-wrap, I have to concentrate to make it happen.

Tom

Good job with nice tone. I'm sure you have that fast run going fine soon.

Thanks Glenn and Derek!

I'm going to give the fast run a few more weeks of practise to see if it magically gets easier.

Nice.. that pick tone is great. You do have a habit of finding those tunes with super fast bits in them ;-)

Thanks Remy and Wrighty!

I'm loving the tone of the thicker big triangle picks. But I'm not loving the fast bits of these tunes! To be slightly fair on myself, I am very slowly getting slightly quicker at picking the faster stuff, but I'm too impatient to wait to get everything up to speed. Ah well, if I haven't made substantial progress by Christmas, I'll grow the nails and go back to fingerstyle.

Thanks Rick - he's got so many tunes to choose from, and they're mostly 'easy' to work out from the vids!

Thanks Started. I'm getting more used to the thumb, but only down in open position.
