Luthier on Luthier podcast
I suppose many of you know this podcast but I have just recently discovered it and I didn't see any mentions when I searched the website.
Michael Bashkin hosts and produces this podcast. I don't now Michael except by reputation. This podcast is anything but an advertisement for him so I really enjoy these discussions with luthiers whom we all know at least by name. As a non-builder who is obsessed with why guitars sounds as they do, this really feeds my needs. You might want to check it out. Thanks Michael. Hans

It’s a solid podcast and one of my absolute favs. I think he ask great questions and is very accommodating to whom ever he is interviewing. I love listening to acoustic builders talk shop.

It's a wonderful podcast and Michael is a great host. I was honoured to be featured even though I've never built a guitar in my life!
I have commissioned one or two over the years though... You can listen to that episode right here Other podcast interviewees are available. All the best MDW

Thanks for posting! I did not know about this particular podcast but had been a bit tepid on the other FBJ 'cast. I listened to the conversation with Dream Guitars' owner and the one with Ervin Somogyi and found both to be extremely well done and fascinating. I am kind of a podcast-nut and by now a production has to be pretty good to keep my interest. I don't care that much about nifty sonic effects, but really like interesting conversation with good questions. This checked the boxes--at least in my so-far limited exploration.

It's good enough that the episodes are worth a re-listen when new episodes don't come fast enough.
Working my way back through from the beginning. |

I love Michael's podcast, and it makes for great shop listening (except that I don't want to turn any machines and miss part of it!).
It was a special treat for me to be featured in this month's episode - given the names and reputations of the prior interview subjects, it was very august company to keep. Michael is spectacular builder and a really great guy, and that shines through in his approach to the interviews. What a great way to get to "know" these builders and their process. Cheers! Martin |

We didn’t know about most of these podcasts (although we’re now much more aware!) and came up with the idea of spending some time talking with Richard Hoover about luthiery, and we’re still figuring it all out, but we just put up the first part of a 2 part podcast talking about tops, and I think it came out pretty good -
