To answer the questions regarding strings I don't use acoustic bronze strings - For my ear there are better choices on a magnetic pick up guitar - That said if you like bronze then don't second guess yourself go with what feels good to you
I currently have D'addario Chrome flatwounds 12s on it ..... like on a Jazz guitar - Great for chord melodies and rag time tunes - Really warm, rich and mellow with excellent balance Another favorite are the Newtone double wraps - They are round core nickle strings but double wrapped so they fall in between flatwound and standard single wrap roundwounds - A tad brighter that the Chromes When I play blues I use DR Zebra strings - They are a hybrid string for acoustic guitars with magnetic pick ups - They alternate phosphor bronze and nickle wraps over a round core so it has acoustic sparkle but can still growl when you dig in and works great with a magnetic pick up - Very natural and completely quack free GHS White Bronze are another option for an "electro/acoustic" and have a lot of punch and presence - I see there as good with a pick and the Zebras good for fingerstyle ...your experience may vary Bottom line is there is no definitive answer because their is no definitive question - The idea of "Best" is completely subjective - A lot of the fun is experimenting and finding your own signature sound Hope that helps PS --- I am using an AER amp so throw that into the equation PSS -- I will throw in a some Zebras to the buyer so you'll get the flatwound and roundwound experience ....trying to make it easy
