The Baggs Element and Fishman Sonitone are 2 of the most commonly installed pickups in new guitars and are also very often replaced with something of a higher quality for better live sound. Guitar manufacturers get them in bulk at a discounted price which is why they use them. If you are going to the trouble of replacing your pickup, why not spend a little more and get something you'll really be happy with?
