NGD: Cole Clark FL2E-12-BB 12 string
I'm a little obsessed with 00 sized 12 fret slot heads. Okay, so a while ago members of AGF talked me out of buying a second Blueridge BR-341. I decided afterwards that I would cease all new guitar acquisitions until I'd saved for a new Martin 00-28vs, with a clause that I could get out early if I found a Waterloo WL-S deluxe and I loved it. Then this happened:
Anyway, my first 12 string and I'm loving it. A Cole Clark FL2E-12-BB 07/2017 model. A very different thing than I'm used to but I'm really enjoying the experience so far. For those interested in such things: Top: Solid Bunya Back & Sides: Solid Tasmanian Blackwood Neck: Queensland Maple Fretboard: Blackbean Just quietly I've got to admit I get a bit of a kick from the fact that the Top timber is grown near where I live and the neck wood is from my home state. Nut: 50 mm (1.97") Graphtec Bridge pin spacing: Top six pins at 60 mm. Bottom six pins at 60 mm. (~ 2.36") Scale length: 650 mm (25.6") at low E Lower bout: 16" Body depth: 4.5" Neck profile: flat C?. It's fairly thin. I'm used to v necks so its a bit different but still nice to play. Pickup: 3 way digital, bridge, face and mic. I haven't used it plugged in much so I can't really comment, but with the face sensor dialled up I can understand why Cole Clark are known for percussive playing. So there you have it, starting afresh saving for a 00-28vs. Hopefully I get there before Waterloo release a WL-S 12 with a 26.5" scale. Last edited by Jimmy Recard; 08-24-2017 at 01:23 AM. That's a beauty.
I've never played a CC before but really want to. Absolutely stunning guitars. If you HAD to compare the playability/feel/sound to another company. What would it be? (Taylor, Gibson, Martin, Guild, others???) |

Hard question, Lowden springs to mind but I probably don't have enough experience to call it. Cole Clark's moto is " designed to sound different", which I understand to relate to the neck through spanish heel design, and maybe the non-traditional timbers and 3 way pickup.

Lovely 12 string, enjoy. And I must congratulate you, as a time served bricky, on the quality of the brickwork in the background.
