Default Found my instrument

After a few weeks reading-up and figuring out what I'd like, I found the right one for me, for now (two key concepts - ha).

I started with a new Jumbo Legacy Eastman at a great price ($2K) but decided against it at the last second since I can borrow a friend's Jumbo Guild indefinitely. I really wanted a dreadnaught so stopped looking at guitars with the "well, it's a great deal" or "wow, it's purdy" mindset and decided to narrow to two I wanted then wait to find used or buy new if I got impatient (highly likely). Narrowed to an Eastman E20D or E10D both baked/roasted/thermo cured Adi.

Then, as if on cue, found a local Eastman E10D-TC advertised as used in mint condition and managed to acquire it. I just got it, and it's not only "mint", it's really new. The plastic film over the "Eastman" badge on the case is still on it. MOST importantly, the guy dropped it off, I took it inside, tuned her up and holy cow Fabulous! I'm excited to get used to it and seriously advance my skills.

Great call...I've always preferred Eastman's mahogany offerings more. I have the OM version of that guitar so I have to believe it's amazing. Congrats!

Is this the one that was posted on Ebay? The pictures looked identical to that one that just sold on Sunday.

Yes. I just pulled his excellent shots since it was nighttime when I received it from him. We were only 3 hours apart and he was coming this way anyway, so he agreed to deliver!

Here it is this morning in my back yard. Evidence...ha.

Nice! I actually bid on it because it was such a good deal. I'm glad you won!

Yeah, the seller said that he had listed it with a "buy now" at $1300 and got offers up to $900 so he relisted with the no reserve auction. I am a complete neophyte when it comes to eBay but gave myself a crash course and lucked-out.

He is a really good guy. If it weren't for this **** virus I'm pretty sure we would've hung out on my porch and had a whiskey and cigar when he dropped it off.

Congrats, and as others have mentioned: That really is a great looking top on the guitar! I have loved every Eastman dreadnought I've played. The E10D I last played really spoke to me, they make fantastic guitars. If I'm in the market for another dread some day, I'll be taking a hard look at some Eastmans.
