Thoughts on GHS Bright Bronze Lt. 12/54 strings?

So far on my Gibson J-30 I'm not too impressed with bass or treble and overall sound. For the last few months I've had GHS thin core lights on a couple of my guitars with good results, but being used to EJ16's for more than a few years pretty much spoiled me for sound. Seems like the 1st string is a bit dead on the GHS BB strings. They do seem to be easy to play to me though.
