TRADED: 2000 Lakewood D-14 Dreadnaught $1300
I have a super clean, Lakewood D-14 (AAA spruce/mahogany) Dreadnaught. All original. Comes with OHSC (Hiscox). Full of shimmer. Big voice with characteristics that make it great for fingerstyle. Lots of saddle left. Barely a blemish on her. I agree with the previous owner, sounds most similar to a Webber (and i hear a little irish-built Lowden or McIlroy in there as well). Excellent clarity and string definition. It's all there, strummed or played fingerstyle (really shines with bare fingers).
Lakewoods are very well built in Germany with fine craftsmanship, attention to detail and a soft, flat C profile on the neck. Those that know about them love them. The D-14 of 2000 is the D-32 of today. The woods are top notch. The Sitka spruce top is silky and beautiful. Look at the three dimensional nature of the mahogany. Pictures do not do it justice. This one has a Gloss finish. My M-1 (and M-14's i have owned in the past) were open pore. Strap buttons installed and extras (1 pin and 1 strap button) in the Hiscox case. Very hard to photograph the one blemish in the top. Finish only. Barely able to feel it. See the picture. Tremendous value at TRADED. East coast, I'll cover shipping and insurance. West coast, I'll split it. Open to trades. Trade interests are wide open. Adding cash is not an issue for a guitar that intrigues me. http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/Ri...akewood%20D-14

Hey folks...this is ALOT of guitar for the money! It's got great note separation, dry and woody. Lots of thump in the bass.... Actually an excellent fingerstyle dreadnought. Fit and finish are superb. This one was made prior to the "natural" series so it is essentially a mahogany D-32. You will NOT be disappointed, heck it even has a Hiscox case, and Rick is one of the most straight up guys on the forum.

Wednesday bump
Clarification on the nut and string spacing.
The nut measures 1 3/4" The string spacing at the bridge is 2 7/32" (by my measurements). The previous owner called it 2 1/4" (and he knows his stuff, without question).

D14
I had this model three or four years ago. Wish I had not traded it. I would describe it as it's a better built Taylor version of a Martin 18

Open to straight sale or trade. This Lakewood is a jem. I've owned 4 of these. Plan on keeping one of the two remaining. This one will surprise you.
