Arrow [SOLD] Carvin AG300 Acoustic Amp (Mint)

SOLD
Up for sale is my 2016 Carvin AG300 acoustic guitar amp with cover in mint condition (the stand is not included). It has less than 100 hours on it, and most of that was inside a smoke-free house. The only reason that I'm selling it is that my back and shoulder no longer want to carry a 30 lb amp and hoist it onto a pole mount stand.

$435 firm, shipped to Lower 48 (PP fee-free payment)

This is a really well made, excellent sounding 3-channel solid state amp with built-in 3-band EQ on 2 of the channels (2-band on the third channel), and built-in reverb, echo and chorus effects. It is designed for acoustic guitars and vocals, and can handle a bass guitar easily as well. Can be pole mounted and can be hooked up to an extension speaker, so it's more like a PA.

Carvin is no longer making these amps and they are really hard to find used. They are really well respected by AGF members. Apologies for the photos (the amp is perfectly rectangular).

That's for sure. If it wasn't for my aging back and joints, this one wouldn't be up for sale either...

Did Carvin ever make a matching extension speaker cab?

They did. It was the 300AGE. https://carvinaudio.com/pages/archiv...ension-cabinet

I was told that you don't need to use that particular extension speaker, since any speaker with matching specs will work with the amp.

Yes, but you can use about any passive cabinet as an extension. I have a cheap no-name 3-way passive speaker cabinet I use with mine.

I've used mine for bass, acoustic guitar, uke, mandolin and vocals. It's the only acoustic guitar amp I've used that was a good vocal amp. Bass in an acoustic group is fine. The cab was a bass amp. Well thought out.

I have also used mine with an electric guitar (playing through a Tech 21 SansAmp Para Driver DI). And I agree that it's a really good vocal amp.

Thanks for the response. Carvin seems to speak of it as if it is a passive ext.cab, but the pics seem to show an active speaker?

I believe that a passive cab is what you would need, but the best way to confirm would be to contact Carvin directly (https://carvinaudio.com/pages/contact-us).

Can you please tell us which speaker you use with your AG300?
