"Emerald Lake" 2: Original Fingerstyle

Happy Memorial Day!

A tune from the archives, Emerald Lake, was composed after visiting this majestic Lake high up in the Canadian Yukon in 2018. A breathtaking view and place which inspired this tune. I recorded this in two keys, this one in a slightly higher key which I don't think has been shared on AGF. Played on the Doerr Legacy in CGCGCD tuning.

Interesting, your use of CGCGCD tuning. I have never tried that tuning. I may have to experiment with that one of these days!

Thank you so much, Glenn! Yes, I "discovered" this tuning via Al Petteway's "Broken Mist" which I love and it opened up a whole bunch of avenues for me at the time.
I actually wrote to Al to confirm the tuning and he wrote write back!! Pretty cool!!

Wow, Larry, thank you for that!! So glad this one hit the mark! Certainly the majesty of that moment atop this big hill looking down on the lake with sun glancing off the sediment casting its glow contributed to the goal of making something to commemorate the experience.

Lovely music Fred, I remember enjoying it the first time round and also went back and listened again to it. What a difference a semi-tone makes but both equally appealing

That's lovely- CGCGCD is one of my favourite tunings. In fact I played in nothing else for a number of years, building up a repertoire of originals and arrangements, played o one of my custom Brooks. I particularly like the middle section, where there were some lovely juicy chords.
