Smile BSox family band?

Will there be a Bowersox Family Band set? That alone would be worth the admission!

This will be a Blast! Can’t come this year, but high hopes for 2024….

Cheers

Paul

I do not think that will happen this year. The lead singer got into law school and will be in Tennessee at the time. No longer a car ride away, not sure she will be attending this time. Apparently she thinks getting a law degree to set herself up for a nice life for the next 50 years is more important than B.I.G. for a weekend. Go figure, kids these days.

This is discouraging! This is most definitely one of the highlights.

Why thank you for that sentiment, we will just have to make due with F&T, Tony, and Christee....

It's looking like I should be able to make it.

Thanks to Tom and everyone who attended last year. Spending time with everyone was more valuable than the guitars. The guitars just happened to be the icing on the cake.

Well, I am pretty sure that is not true, still waiting for the year I can convince you to come, that is the only reason I keep trying!!!!

That is great news and I think you hit the nail on the head as to what makes us different. There are people that do not even consider B.I.G. a show, of course they have never been here, but with world class luthiers and guitars, fantastic entertainers, workshops and lessons, I do not know what more they want before they can see it as a real show. The icing on the cake to me is the attendees like yourself and the friendships we make that are hard to duplicate at the other shows and all the while surrounded by Kinnairds, Wilborns, Hallands etc.

As you may have noted, I recently was in the Kinnaird shop for a week building a guitar. While I was there I was privy to some special news...

Kinnaird guitars with Steve and Ryan are at NUMBER 200 and they will be building it for B.I.G.! What an honor for the show and what a special guitar. I was shown the woods and will not divulge the secret sauce, but let me just say, the back is dark, chocolate, straight grained and what many would say is the best of the best. The top is also amazing, highly sought after wood.

Thanks to the guys for honoring B.I.G. with this guitar and I hope it goes to a great home at B.I.G. IV 2023.

Shazam--that is totally cool!

What a treat to have #200 at the show for all of us lucky attendees to try out!

Something more to look forward to in addition to all the guitars, comradery, music, and good friends--what a weekend it will be!

Well, if thoughts of procrastination were being entertained about this guitar, they’re abandoned now! 🤪 It seems we will have to build this, post haste, as already the deadline looms. Usually, we put the PRO in procrastination, but hopefully we can skip through the dew on this little darlin’. Thanks for your interest, and kind words,

Steve

We’re looking forward to another great BIG, and we’re excited that will have our 200th guitar there (if we can get it done. ). I will be posting a build thread at some point, but since Mark Hatcher just posted his 100th guitar thread, I’ll wait a little while to not steal any of the limelight from that accomplishment.

I can’t decide if September is nearly here or a long way away!

Well, if you fall behind, you can always build #200 for B.I.G. and then build #199 after…
