Talking 2015 Sexauer FT 15 Mini D - Figured Brazilian & Adirondack + Hoffee $old

2015 Sexauer FT 15 Mini D

Killer guitar here, check out the demos below!

Built by Bruce in 2015 for the Memphis Guitar show. Choice Red Spruce (touch of bearclaw) over figured Brazilian. Really a gorgeous, unique and versatile piece that is equally at home with both fingerstyle and flat picking. A true jack of all trades, one guitar to do it all! A slight wedge (narrower on bass side) makes this OM/OOO ish instrument super comfy to play while putting out an unbelievable dynamic range that rivals full size SJs or Dreadnoughts. Very balanced with really amazing bass and all the sparkle and chime you'd expect from this classic wood combo.

This instrument went back to Bruce for a checkup and setup last year, and is in perfect playing condition. As with most great guitars, this one has been played and has it's fair share of minor, cosmetic blemishes. There are no structural issues and nothing that breaks the super thin oil varnish finish, but there are numerous superficial bumps and bruises befitting a well loved and well played guitar. Minor wear, and a few impressions on back of the neck. Not players grade, but definitely not a case queen.

There is a great history including the original build details here on AGF and a few great demos of this guitar. Pics are from North American Guitar listing where I bought it. i also have many photos of this guitar during the build process and can take fresh photos if necessary.

It is an amazing instrument and Bruce's philosophy is:

"The “living” guitar is pretty much my thing, in some contrast to the modern style of guitars, which isolate the energy in the top, leaving the back and side relatively inert. That idea also works, but is a lot less thrilling to play. IMO, of course."

I upgraded the tuners to GrandTune Ruthenium/Snakewood. Originals also included (Gold/Gold). No pickup (although a K&K was removed by Bruce). There is a un-wired Cosmo black enpin jack. Includes original Hoffee case.

Economic hardship force sale. Hoping to get back close to what I have into it. Absolute top shelf Braz/Adi guitar.

Current pricing on this would be $17K. $old NET, sorry no trades.

48 hour inspection period, buyer pays return shipping. Experienced AGF member (pro shipping and insurance) with references. I'd prefer a cash sale so check/wire but we can discuss payment options.

Smile Yow!

What a KILLER! Bruce sure builds spectacular stuff.

The OP is a lovely gentleman and a real guitar scholar! Takes fantastic care of his instruments.
We have visited and played each others stash. Seth has NICE guitars.

Best on this, and if I were you I would ask for first dibs if the buyer goes to sell in the future.

Cheers

Paul

Default OMG

Yes…OMG!

I bought this guitar directly from Bruce while on his way to the Memphis show. It is a truly awesome work of art. Yeah, I miss it.
Voice and tone is just amazing.

Fit and finish is top of the line.

Thank you gents for the kind words. PM's have been answered and I suspect this beauty won't be around for long. Cheers!

I added a few specs (width and depth), and a picture from the build process showing the amazing set of Brazilian on this guitar!

Thanks, I agree!

It would be really hard to find a better guitar in this price range. That said, I'm open to offers.
