Gibson L-30
I would like to build a Gibson L-30 (archtop), based on a L-00 plan.
The depth of the body is a difficult thing, however, as the info I find on the net is very different. Anyone own a pre-war Gibson L-30? I would like to know the exact body depth, measured at the neck and at the heel. Thanks in advance! |

The rare L-00 size L-75 could be an interesting one to build as well. Which I believe is the same specs as the L-30, but with a deeper Nick Lucas depth (which is detailed as well on that same site).

Thanks, but I already found this data too.
The problem is that I also find so many other measurements that I don't really know which one to use. Some say 3 inches, others 4 1/2 inches (and everything in between).. I was hoping to find some similarity through forums and FB, but it seems no one owns a guitar like this? |

Do you have any information on the top thickness and contours?
I have L-00 plan, template and mold and this would be an interesting build if I had that info. |
