I’m very used to 1 11/16” Martin nut width. At the same time I’m interested in a 000-15sm with a 1 3/4” nut width. Is anyone aware of any differences between the two guitars neck profile that might compensate for the difference?
Thanks, Jim

I think the 000-15sm is just about the best guitar I’ve owned, definitely the one that gets the most playing time. Perfect for vocal accompaniment.

For me, the 000-15m is just about the perfect guitar. I'm a strummer and a rhythm player, and the 1 11/16" nut is perfect. (And I've got a lot of muscle memory working here, having played the same size neck since 1973.) Also, I prefer the standard headboard of the 000-15m. None of my guitars have slotted headstocks, and I'm happy to keep it that way, with 14 frets to the body.
It rings all my bells.

000-15SM
I ended up buying a 000-15SM because of the wider nut width. Much easier for fingerstyle, especially when trying to do the F chord. My fingers don't get tangled up as easily. It also smells great, but I imagine both models smell equally as wonderful.

I think you will be happy with that choice. Congrats!

Congrats! These really are great guitars. Good strummers, too.
