Default Tacoma JK50CE4

Hey folks, looking for some quick advice. I picked a Tacoma guitar for a very good price with several lifting finish areas . They don’t bother much especially considering the value of the guitar but I was wondering if I put some clear nail polish over the flaky areas if it would keep the issue from spreading. I am not looking to “refinish” the look of the lifting areas but more protect it from getting worse. Any feedback or advice extremely welcome

Without pictures, it's difficult to provide much meaningful feedback. There are a number of options depending upon what, exactly, the issues are.
