Default WTB Peruvian Walnut Larrivee

Hello,
I am looking for a used Peruvian walnut back and sides Larrivee. Prefer spruce top L series but may consider a triple or OM.
Thank You

This doesn’t help you but I used to have a cedar/Peruvian walnut l-03 from Wildwood years ago and it’s on the short list of guitars I wish I never sold. Larrivee’s sound great with walnut back and sides.

Default Almost

Hello Dustinfurlow,

I almost bought one of your guitars last year, and I wish that I had.
Your music is impressive and is one of the reasons I am fond of Larrivee. Also I have three, and enjoy the walnut terribly.

To each their own I expect,

Chuck

Yes, a cedar/walnut Larrivee OM is a guitar I regret not buying at Wildwood Music. Good luck to you.

Hi Ever Learner, Have you played a Peruvian Walnut Larrivee?
I have a Austrian Walnut Larrivee. And love it. I have played both, Peruvian and Austrian. I think you would be very happy with the Austrian Walnut. I believe the Austrian Walnuts are more plentiful, and in my mind... a bit smoother sounding as well.

Hello Knives&Guitars
I have a Peruvian walnut Larrivee now that I am very fond. I have never played an Austrian. I am in central Texas and Larrivees are hard to come by, but I will keep my eyes open for one. Thanks for the idea.

Having sold (regretfully so) a walnut/sitka Larrivee last year, I was curious how you distinguish between different species of walnut. When I wrote to Larrivee asking for information on the guitar, which I bought used, all they said was that it was "walnut".

Default Only a PW Larrivee for now

Hello hen263,
Very nice guitar and good luck with the sale. I am set on the Peruvian Walnut from Larrivee though, I am very curious to hear another. You can't go into a store and pick one up to listen, feel and smell, and then the next. There are not any around here. It's easy for a mahogany or rosewood Martin. I know each guitar is unique in itself and so is each species of wood and each tree of that species and each board etc.... I have tremendous respect for Jean's ability to pick and pair woods. l guess I will have to find several different models of the PW Larrivee to satisfy my curiosity. Darn.

Not currently listed for sale, but if this fits your interest, let's talk. Mint condition. Here is a link to the ad I bought it from that gives some nice background on the walnut used.
